Numerous factors of late have threatened world peace and these include terrorism, political unrest, wars and the development of nuclear bombs. Thailand on the other hand has been affected by the 1997 Asian crisis with the devaluation of its currency the Thai Baht, the Bird and Swine flu epidemics in addition to internal conflicts which commenced in 2005 and came to a crescendo with the 2006 coup. The coup left the country volatile with internal conflicts between various sides and factions which are continuing. One must not forget the separatist issues in Southern Thailand which have also led to a significant number of deaths and which continue. From being a relatively unsophisticated country in the early 1990s, Thailand has developed into a more sophisticated Kingdom with changes to the legal environment causing Thailand to follow practices adopted by the rest of the world with respect to employment opportunities which are now benefiting employees.

Slow Economy

Following the world financial crisis which led to the demise of Lehman and Bear Stearns and many other financial institutions worldwide, economic growth fell in 2009 when compared to 2008 with less exports and the lack of finance becoming available.

Where it should have been reasonable to expect accelerated growth between the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, Thailand again became subjected to internal political conflict which culminated in a number of deaths within the greater metropolitan area of Bangkok.

Notwithstanding this, there has been some economic growth in 2010 as well as an increase in merger and acquisition activity and the stock market has boomed becoming the second most active and successful one globally at present. Of course the merger and acquisition activity can bring employees closer together as their roles will become extremely demanding before, during and after such activity.

It is also fundamental that any downsizing or terminations of members of the workforce should be managed professionally, ethically and sympathetically.

Social Challenges facing Thailand

The instability facing Thailand since 2005 which puts far more pressure on the Thai workforce means that employees have been expected to work harder and within an environment that is far more pressurised with often less finance to support it. Notwithstanding this, the cost of living has gone up and there also have been some natural disasters such as floods and the avian flu crisis causing the Thai workforce morale to be low.

It would appear that, fraud and corruption has also escalated as a result of the economic recession as a number of people look for a quick fix to assist the performance of their organisations. This factor is not solely a Thai problem but with the financial meltdown it has become more apparent in a number of other countries particularly in the US. It is important accordingly that a corporate social responsibility is instilled in the Thai workforce so that these types of breaches in future will be counter measured.

Other challenges include the fact that the workforce is not getting any younger which of course causes concern to organisations recruiting generation X employees to succeed the senior positions of baby boomers who are now gradually retiring. This can cause many challenges to employers having the mix of baby boomers, generation X and generation Y who have vastly different ideas, concepts and motivations. It is also important for employers to take note of the better educated workforce that now exists and HR must provide sound policies and strategies in order to attract, develop and retain better educated employees who expect far more sophisticated treatment and incentives than the baby boomers of the past.

Technology Change

Digital media has become an effective tool for a company to increase its competitiveness in the market. It also speeds up the business process and improves the overall performance of a company. The Internet, for example, has changed the way of communication and helps reduce costs on recruitment, manpower planning, and training.

Proactive HR people should have a broad knowledge and skills to cooperate with senior managers to create and implement an effective HR strategy. Therefore, HR should be considered as an interdisciplinary field to provide expertise support for overall business operations. As a result, HR should be seen as a strategic business partner and a reliable problem-solving expert.

Plastic surgery is an excellent assistance for you to become more sophisticated and attractive. If you are only having a very specific procedure completed you might be better off looking for a cosmetic plastic surgery clinic that specializes in that type of procedure. If you are looking to have a variety of different procedures performed it may make more sense to find a good general cosmetic plastic surgery clinic.

When you are looking for the right cosmetic plastic surgery clinic there are several things that you need to take into consideration. The first thing you want to think about is the patient care that each clinic provides. Patient care should start before you even arrive at the clinic. You should have been provided with information regarding your procedure and a general list of things that you need to do before the surgery starts. This can include things like not eating or drinking after a certain amount of time.

The next critical piece of patient care is how the cosmetic plastic surgery clinic prepares you for the surgery. This will include answering any last minute questions that you may have and making sure you are comfortable before surgery. Patient recovery once the procedure is completed is another element of care that should be explored.

Most cosmetic plastic surgery clinics should require a number of postoperative visits. It is important to make sure that during these visits you will be thoroughly examined. This is also a great time to ask any new questions that you might have. Many people worry about things like swelling or bruising and how long it will take to heal after the procedure is performed.

There are risks associated with cosmetic plastic surgery. These can range in severity and it will be important that the doctor at the cosmetic plastic surgery clinic you choose will be able to discuss each one with you. It is necessary for you to understand any risks that you will be exposed to when the procedure is performed. Do not hesitate to ask any question that you might have.

Naravee Aesthetic Center is one of the premier cosmetic plastic surgery clinics in Bangkok, Thailand. With their team of internationally trained doctors and nurses they are able to perform a wide range of plastic and cosmetic surgical procedures. Certified doctors carry many qualifications and have all performed many successful procedures over the years. You can be sure that you will get the highest quality of service at Naravee from the moment you walk through one of their clinics doors and consult with one of their leading expert doctors.

Bangkok is a city certainly well known for its high quality budget hotels with excellent affordable rates. But after the recent government protests which as ceased for now – hotels in Bangkok whether budget or luxury have begun to drastically reduce room rates even more. As a result now is the best time to find hotel deals especially for hotels in the budget range.There is definitely no shortage of hotels in Bangkok. Whether you are on a budget or can afford to splurge, consider staying at one of Bangkok’s many new boutique hotels opening up everywhere overnight.

Just what is a boutique hotel in Bangkok exactly?

A hotel in the boutique class are small though the rooms are quite spacious. Most of these hotels have fewer than 20 rooms, though there are a few with at least 50. But the distinguishing factor between a boutique hotel and a mainstream hotel is the emphasis on hospitality. Since boutique hotels are smaller in stature guests can expect to feel more personal service. Though don’t expect to be pampered as if you are in a 5 star luxury hotel.

Many of these hotels are operated and run solely by Thais. So the room rates are very affordable and are considered in the budget range. And since most of the boutique hotels in Bangkok have just opened recently the property itself is in excellent conditions.

You can find many boutique hotels in central Bangkok such as:

    * Bedrooms Boutique Hotel
* Sacha’s Hotel Uno
* Paradiso Boutique Suites

All of the hotels mentioned above are near a BTS Sky Train station so that most of the major shopping destinations and attractions can be reached easily and quickly.

And if central Bangkok is too hectic and noisy for you then head up just a little bit towards the northeast to Khao San Road.

This quiet little neck of the woods is not far from central Bangkok. Though Khao San road is a popular backpacker’s den in the recent years many hotels have sprouted up:

    * Navalai River Resort
* Boonsiri Inn
* Buddy Lodge

Finally, which ever hotel you are planning to stay in here is one really good money-saving tip. It is best to reserve your room through a licensed hotel booking agency that is based in Bangkok. Such agencies are in a better position of acquiring better discounted room rates since they are contracted as wholesalers with hotels throughout Bangkok, so you can expect to receive 20% to 40% off.

Praya Palazzo is a stylish 17-room mansion with a rich historical background that offers a unique experience for the discerning travelers. Dating back to the ancient kingdom of Siam, the mansion is situated in the heart of Bangkok on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, one of the most significant rivers in Thailand. Ideal for travelers who want to relax while enjoying city life in the oldest part of Bangkok, Praya Palazzo is in walking distance to many historical sites and attractions such as The Grand Palace, The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn), Chinatown, The National Museum, and Kao San Road just to name a few. Praya Palazzo brings back the sense and lifestyle of the King Rama V period, conveying authentic Thai culture through vision, taste, scent, rhyme and touch.

Thailand is known for the country’s amazing beaches. One can find all the things they need in a beach trip in this beautiful country. Here is a list of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand:

1. White Sand Beach, Ko Chang – Ko Chang, also known as the “Elephant Island,” is the second largest island in Thailand and located around 180 miles east of Bangkok. Ko Chang’s white sand beaches contain a lot of other beaches which are considered the best beaches in Thailand.

2. Hat Sai Kaeo, Ko Sametalso – also called the “Diamond Beach” or the “Crystal Sand Beach”, is a very beautiful beach in Bangkok. Hat Sai Kaeo is about one-third of a mile long and is filled with plenty of activities to do such as swimming, jet skiing, windsurfing and riding with what the locals called banana boats which is a long, yellow inflated float that leap riders off if they did not hold on tightly enough; a really fun ride every visitor loves to try.

3. Ao Manao, Prachuap Khiri Khan – located around six miles from Myanmar’s border. Also called the “lemon Beach” the place was once a battleground for the Thais and the Japanese forces. Today it’s a quiet sanctuary, untouched by western tourists and one of Thailand’s secret treasures. Here, visitors can find many miles of striking white sand beaches, some of them formed momentarily by sandbars during low tides. This is also the place where the best seafood cuisines are served.

4. Pharanang Bay, Krabi – Krabi is famously known for its unusual rock climbing services for both beginners and professional climbers. The bay is reached via boat rides and takes almost 20 minutes from Ao Nang Beach. After reaching Ao Nang beach there would be another 15-minute walk on a zigzag sidewalk along the base of a sea cliff. The exciting ride to the place will bring everyone to the elegant Phranang Bay. Visitors can swim under the suspended limestone karsts, or climb through the small cliffs into the profound emerald green waters of the Andaman Sea. The beach is perfect place for families, swimmers, snorkels, and nature explorers.

5. Ao Nang Beach, Krabi – is one of the most admired beaches in Thailand; a well developed beach that offers street shopping, and top western and Thai restaurants, and with definitely charming and affordable commodities. There is one particular stretch of the beach on the southern most point of the place that is just really wonderful which are adored by many and it will just take a short walk in its south along Ao Nang beach.

6. Tonsai Bay, Ko Phi Phi – the well-known Ko Phi Phi is covered with two islands which are the “Don”;the larger island, and “Leh”; the smaller island located at the southern tip of Krabi town. It will take a two-hour ferry boat ride from Ao Nang beach to Tonsai and with just a very affordable fee. Tonsai bay or the Ao Tonsai is on the southern part of Ko Phi Phi Don. The beach is undeniably drop dead charming which one would surely love to see.

7. Noppharat Thara, Krabi – with just 400 Thai baht as entrance fee, one can enjoy the spectacular beauty of this national park. A perfect family beach, where one can sit below the shades of the coconut palm trees while eating picnics like the locals often do, or take a stroll during low tide seasons in the petty waters. Noppharat Thara is one mile in length and located west of Ao Nang in Krabi.

8. Tong Takien Bay, Ko Samui Island -located on the southeast part of Ko Samui, roughly veiled between Chaweng and Lamae, is an remote and secluded bay which is perfect place for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. Some call it the “Silver Beach.” This beach is very much family-friendly, clean, and has some bungalow-style lodgings where visitors can stay for as low as 500 Thai baht in the low seasons.

If ever “money number one” was set in time as a national catch cry, it would have to be in Thailand where the phrase “money number one” is used countless times daily by many of the Thai people in dealing with the thousands of foreign tourists they regularly encounter.

Neil Hutchinson, an Aussie expat living in Pattaya has been instrumental in writing a series of books around the money number one catch cry, which have become extremely popular best sellers in recent years…

The first of the books actually entitled “Money Number One”, was first penned some years ago and has been updated several times to suit the ever changing influx of emotionally and sexually starved hordes of single men who have made places like Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Sumui, Chiang Mai and of course Bangkok among others, a regular “watering hole” over the past 50 years or so.

While the Money Number One Books including his other titles such as “A Fool in Paradise”, “The Fool is Back” and “A Fools Diary” are written somewhat tongue in cheek, they epitomize the humor in the sometimes ridiculous and other times tragic relationships which spring up between the local inhabitants and the dyed in the wool westerners who attempt to introduce western cultural ways and ethics into a society based on thousands of years of immense cultural difference where money number one has been a way of life long before the modern western man set foot in the beautiful country known as Thailand.

Mainly set in the seaside resort city of Pattaya situated on the eastern seaboard of The Gulf Of Siam in Southern Thailand, the stories contained within the Money Number One book series and their corresponding sequels and additions, vary in length and subject but are all for the most part based from true instances and events gathered over the years by Neil’s own personal experiences and those of others either relayed to Neil or told in person in one of the many bars and haunts he frequents in order to carry out his somewhat clandestine research.

Dubbed by many as “The Single Man’s Survival Guide to Pattaya” and “The Pattaya Bible” the Money Number One series are a recommended read by thousands of experienced Thailand visitors both male and female when advising potential new visitors about the who, what, where and whys of Thailand long before the bags are packed to go, and indeed long after they have been unpacked on their return home.

Although the Money Number One books are available in paper back from the shelves of many of Thailand’s reputable book stores, they can sometimes be a little late to procure in order to learn the valuable lessons contained within them after arriving in Thailand and are now available for instant download in PDF format.

You may be a tourist, who has come to enjoy your holiday in Thailand, but it is inevitable that you will get tired at the end of a hectic day of sightseeing. So, you need a comfortable place to rest and regain your energy for the next day. However, not everyone can afford five star accommodation. Many people are looking for budget hotels as accommodation is one of the biggest expenses a person has during a vacation.

The Old Bangkok Inn is on Rattanakosin Island. This budget hotel will make you experience the real Thai culture. The ambiance and the furniture are created with great care. The rates of the inn start from 3,190 Bahts for one room. There are 10 rooms in the hotel and every room is decorated uniquely. The rooms have a satellite television, broadband facility for Internet connectivity, and a DVD player. If you stay at this hotel, you will also be doing some community service as the hotel is active in the Support the Community Initiative program.

The Buddy Lodge on Khao San Road of Bangkok is for the people who are crazy enough to enjoy the night parties which are noisy and go on the whole night. It is an average hotel with no proper ventilation and cleanliness. TheBuddy Lodge with its boutique style is the best place on Khao San Road though. It is close to all the tourist places like Golden Mount, Chao Phraya River and the Grand Palace. It is also situated near all the shopping centers. It has seventy-six rooms with furniture of high standard, a swimming pool with a rooftop, a snack bar beside the pool and also a fitness center. If you have a really low budget, then go for The Oakwood Residence or The Fraser Suites which are both situated at Sukhamvit. These hotels are good, and room tariffs are reasonable. You can also get rooms to accommodate more than three people per room.
